Discover Our Story

We first visited Costa Rica on holiday in January 2024 and instantly fell in love with the country, its nature and its people. We were looking for a second home and, to cut a long story short, La Rana de Cahuita has been ours since 1 January 2025. 

 

The choice of a location on the Caribbean coast was fairly obvious: the cool vibe, the climate, the ocean, the people, the nature.  and the surrounding area.

 

We, Bart and Pascale, are from Belgium and currently commute between the two countries. In 2026, La Rana de Cahuita will celebrate its 10th anniversary, which we are quite proud of. The first major renovation is now complete, and another new house is planned for the end of 2025. So there are plenty of challenges ahead! 

 

We have a fantastic team on site.  
They are always available to answer questions and are happy to give tips and tricks to make your visit to the Caribbean coast unforgettable. We can also book some great tours for you, such as a guided walk through Cahuita National Park, a snorkeling tour to discover the underwater world or a chocolate tour.

 

We also have a super sweet dog and a few chickens. That is why other pets are not allowed on the premises.
